The founders

Dan Gomplewicz

Co-founder & Co-CEO
Dan is co-founder of ARMIS. He was previously Director of Strategy and Innovation at E Leclerc. He started his retail experience at Carrefour as an area manager and then created and managed the loyalty department of the Ed/DIA brand.

Dan began his career in product marketing at Danone by managing the Petit LU brand. Dan is an expert in marketing and digital transformations in retail.


Dan graduated of Dauphine and  Business School ESCP Europe.

David Baranes

Co-founder & Co-CEO
David is co-founder of ARMIS. He previously held the position of Vice President Market Development in charge of France & Southern Europe at AppNexus, now Xandr (acquired by AT&T for $2 billion), a world leader in online advertising technologies and a pioneer in programmatic solutions.

David began his career as Co-founder & Partner of Triana Group, a New York-based accelerator supporting the US development of innovative European companies. David is an expert in technologies applied to digital marketing.


David graduated of Ecole Polytechnique and Columbia University in New York.

David was also a co-founder & Partner at Triana Group, a New-York based accelerator supporting the US development of innovative European companies.

David graduated from Ecole Polytechnique in France and Columbia University in the City of New York.

Gaëlle, ex-Product Director at QUABLE, is in charge of the product roadmap and its execution.

Nicolas, ex-CMO Netto, is in charge of the commercial relationship with the food distribution chains.

Barbara, ex-Marketing Director Nextperf (acquired by Rakuten) is in charge of enable the sales team to develop the customer portfolio and enhance ARMIS’ brand identity in the retail tech ecosystem.

Barbara is a graduate of INSEEC PARIS.

Laure, ex-International HR Project Manager at Ubisoft is in charge of attracting, developing and retaining the best talents by creating conditions for professional development within ARMIS.

Alexandre, ex-Head of EMEA Client Services AppNexus (acquired by AT&T), is in charge to provide the best service to ARMIS customers through operational excellence, innovation and flexibility of his teams.

Alexandre is a graduate of Polytechnique School (France) and Columbia University (USA)..
