Paris, January 28, 2021 – ARMIS, the SaaS platform that pioneered the digitalization of print circulars and sales operations of retailers, begins 2021 with a major reinforcement: Pierre Conte becomes Senior Advisor of ARMIS.
In this capacity, he advises the company on its strategy, in particular on the proper coordination of ARMIS’ activity with communication groups.
Pierre Conte is a recognized personality in the media and communication industry. He was previously CEO of Editis, the second largest French publisher, Country Manager France of WPP, the world’s leading marketing services group, and CEO of OMD France, the main media agency of the Omnicom Group. In the media world, Pierre Conte was Deputy CEO and member of the Executive Board of the Figaro Group in charge of advertising, development and digital transformation. He also served as Deputy CEO and member of the Executive Board of RTL. He is currently Chairman of the Centre d’Etude des Supports de Publicité (CESP).
“ARMIS is an ambitious startup. I was very impressed by its powerful and innovative technology and the high level of his teams. Supporting its two leaders in the development of their company and its good integration into the marketing ecosystem is exciting,” explains Pierre Conte.
“Pierre is one of the iconic figures of the media and communication industry in France, and we are very honored that he has agreed to accompany us. His unique experience in the market will allow us to accelerate the company’s development, notably through synergies with communication groups. We are convinced that there is an opportunity in these collaborations to unlock a lot of value for our retail customers by combining consulting and technology. We are convinced that these collaborations are an opportunity to unlock significant value for our retail clients by combining consulting and technology.” added David Baranes & Dan Gomplewicz, co-founders of ARMIS.
ARMIS develops the SaaS (Software-as-a-Service) platform built on artificial intelligence that enables retailers to generate omnichannel sales for their stores while reducing marketing costs. The platform transforms paper circulars and commercial campaigns into “multi-local” digital advertisements, i.e. optimally distributed around each store. This enables retailers to compete effectively with Internet giants like Amazon by leveraging their most powerful assets: their brands, offerings and physical stores. Based in Paris, ARMIS was born from the merger of the digital and retail advertising expertise of David Baranes, former VP Market Development of AppNexus (now Xandr, a subsidiary of AT&T), a world leader in online advertising technologies, and Dan Gomplewicz, former Director of Strategy and Innovation at E. Leclerc. For more informations, www.armis.tech and @Armis_Tech
